Zalev, based in Windsor, Ontario, collects, processes and supplies recycled ferrous and nonferrous metals for the North American steel and automotive industries. Zalev has yards in Windsor and Detroit, and a reputation as a low-cost producer of quality-controlled recycled metals that earned it Q1 Preferred Quality awards from Ford Motor Company and Rouge Steel and a Quality of Excellence Award from Chrysler Corporation. CAI sold its position in Zalev to a strategic buyer.
