Vancouver, BC – December 13, 2017 – Feeney Brothers Utility Services (“Feeney Brothers”), a leading service provider to the U.S. Northeastern gas, electric, water, and telecommunications industries, is pleased to announce the closing of a strategic merger with DDS Companies (“DDS”). DDS provides utility, civil, engineering and telecommunications services in upstate New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
The merger combines two companies with similar cultures and values and allows each to immediately expand and improve their service offerings seamlessly over the following seven states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Ohio. The combined organization, with over 1,000 employees, will continue the highly acclaimed programs for operational safety, training and high-quality customer service that both Feeney and DDS are known for.
Feeney Brothers is led by founders Brendan and Greg Feeney, seasoned utility industry operators each with over thirty years of experience. Its highly skilled and qualified workforce provides safe and innovative infrastructure services to public utilities throughout the Northeast with a focus on natural gas distribution as well as telecommunications and electric distribution.
DDS is led by its president and founder, Sean Donohoe, P.E., who has decades of experience in civil engineering as well as utility services, environmental services, telecom and heavy civil construction. Within its utilities and engineering divisions, DDS’s customers include leading public utilities and mid-stream distribution companies in the Northeast. DDS also provides civil design and build services to some of the largest general contractors and developers in upstate New York.
