Vancouver, BC – May 2, 2018 – CAI Capital Partners (“CAI”) is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Javelin Technologies Inc. (“Javelin”) and Cimetrix Solutions Inc. (“Cimetrix”). CAI’s investment will facilitate the combination of the two companies which results in the formation of the leading design engineering and additive manufacturing solutions provider in Canada with more than 6,000 customers across the country.
Javelin is a leading provider of 3D design software and support services and Cimetrix is a leading provider of 3D printing technology and support services to a variety of end-markets across Canada. The combined company will be known as Javelin and will be headquartered in Oakville, ON with additional offices in Calgary, Dartmouth, Edmonton, Kitchener, Montreal, Oshawa and Winnipeg.
CAI has partnered alongside the founders of Javelin and Cimetrix, each of whom has retained a meaningful ownership interest in the combined business. The senior management team will consist of Javelin’s leaders – Ted Lee and John Carlan – and Cimetrix’s leaders – James and Kirsten Janeteas.
