Our Team

CAI was launched in 1989 by investment professionals whose founding principle was teamwork. That operating philosophy continues to drive the firm's activities today thanks to the longstanding working relationships of its founders.

Our managing partners - Peter Restler, Les Daniels, Peter Gottsegen, Tracey McVicar and Allan Weinstein - are active in the business daily. David Culver and Dick Schmeelk, our founding partners, remain involved and provide valuable advice and support to our team.

Today, the CAI team comprises investment professionals with records of achievement in private equity, venture capital and investment banking. The firm's philosophy of teamwork is applied at every stage of the investment process, from due diligence to formulating business strategies to solving problems.

Drawing on its extensive network and the business, political and financial expertise of its Principals and Special Investors, the CAI team creates value by investing in and helping to grow its portfolio companies.
